Twenty-five states with Democratic attorneys general or governors sued the Trump administration in the U.S. Court of International Trade over tariffs of 10% or 12.5% imposed on goods from 60 trading partners. The suit, filed under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, alleges the tariffs lack a rational connection to forced-labor concerns and replaced a prior 10% global tariff that expired. Small businesses had previously challenged the same measures in court.
