An 18-year-old male died after experiencing heat-related symptoms during a planned round-trip day hike on the Bright Angel Trail on Wednesday. Rangers responded to reports at approximately 1:40 p.m. local time but were unable to revive him after a helicopter rescue operation. The National Park Service has not released the individual's name pending next-of-kin notification.
